Fabergé unveils its first imperial egg in a century during the Doha Watch & Jewellery Exhibition in Qatar

Fabergé has created the Egg Pearl in collaboration with the Al Fardan family, a pearl collector. The Egg is encrusted with 139 pearls, 3,300 diamonds, and other precious stones.

The famous jeweller had not made egg since the order placed by the Tsar Nicolas II to offer his wife Alexandra a few months before he is chased by the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution.

Fabergé eggs are precious objects created by the jeweller Pierre-Karl Fabergé. The most famous were created for Alexandre III and Nicolas II of Russia, who used to offer them to their wives for Easter.

According to the spokesman of Fabergé Alize Morand, the new creation will be offered for sale at the end of the exhibition on February 28th in Doha while some potential buyers have already shown their interest estimating the value of the Pearl Egg to $ 2 millions.
