Official partner of the Cannes Film Festival since 1998, Chopard contributes to the development of this event combining glamour and legend. Caroline Scheufele, co-President and Creative Director of Chopard, has made the Geneva House the key player of the largest venue of the world cinema. Each year, it pays tribute to the beauty of the actresses in dedicating them an extraordinary collection of fine jewellery, called Red Carpet.

Each year, on the red carpet the actresses more elegant each other’s tread the red carpet of the Palais des Festivals which then becomes a place of exhibition of high jewellery creations of the Chopard House. These dazzling exceptional pieces are the result of a great challenge and a work of extreme precision. There are years of edition of the event. By 2015, for the 68th edition of the Festival, 68 unique pieces will highlight the talent and expertise of the Geneva House on the Croisette.

 This year, the Red Carpet collection will present a highly innovation as it will include a jewellery capsule collection named Green Carpet showing creations combining ethics and aesthetics. Through the project The Journey to sustainable luxury, Chopard affirms its commitment and willingness to promote a sustainable luxury and registers it in the heart of the brand’s values. Complying with the requirements of the GCC ® (Green Carpet Challenge) label, this collection is designed and produced according to the highest standards of sustainable development.

By 2015, to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Palme d’Or, Caroline Scheufele wanted to pay tribute to this jewel plant, symbol of the genius of the cinema. Just like the Palme d’Or from which it is inspired, this Green Carpet collection is fully carried out in the workshops of the Swiss manufacture Fairmined gold, extracted from responsibly. In 2014, I wanted that the Palme d’Or, the most prestigious award in the international film industry, is now completed in Fairmined gold. This year, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Palme d’Or, we’ve combined the emblem, our jeweller know-how and our commitment to a sustainable luxury creating a Green Carpet capsule collection inspired from the Palm” says Caroline Scheufele.

 Composed of a jewellery watch, a ring, earrings and a long pendant, the design of this collection fits to the perfect curve harmony the Palm, and especially its finely ribbed leaflets. Made with 18 ct white gold Fairmined, the jewelry are crimped gradient of diamond marquise cut from the Group IGC, Member of the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC), a monitoring body of ethical, social and ecological behaviour.
